commercials

If you are going to do a commercial make it funny and not annoying. I hate just about all commercials. some are funny if only they were the only commercials.

Believe it or not, I write them for a living.

Part of why I love what I do...is my utter contempt for most commercials. I hate the way they've become slaves to the formula of the lowest common denominator.

I've spent many a creative session with a client who wants me to write the typical For All Your ______ Needs crap. And I always win the argument in the end when their way doesn't yield results...but mine does. I'd rather make them money than be right, so it works out either way.

But despite my career...I agree. Most commercials suck.
